Dogs should always be supervised when consuming chews. As the chew gets to the end, you can soak it in hot water to make it softer.
(We also sell chew holders which hold both sizes of chew and reduce the likelihood of your pup swallowing the end whole).
Depending on the way your dog chews, these may or may not help keep all of their teeth clean. If your dog has a tendency to chew only on one side, or only with the front or back teeth then other areas of the mouth may not be adequately cleaned. Always continue to check your dog's teeth and gums periodically, and clean them regularly.
If your pup has a sensitive stomach, new foods should be introduced slowly to allow tummies to adjust. We recommend allowing your pup to eat only a small amount of the chew in the first session and monitoring for any tummy upsets, just in case.
These products are intended to be given as treats, in addition to a balanced diet.
Always ensure that your dog has access to clean drinking water when consuming any treats.
If you have any concerns about your dog's teeth, nutrition or anything else, please seek advice from your vet. âĄ
